Flash Mob. Probably one of my new favorite past times. My very talented friend, Stephanie Carino, is a pro at choreographing and executing a perfect flash mob. In this FWB, she teaches me and the rest of the ladies of LSA: NYC dance moves for our latest flash mob to surprise the guys at the ECAs. And yes, I am a bit toasty in this video and the day long hangover was totally worth it. Thanks Carino for introducing me to flash mobs as well as always bringing your positive energy. I had the best time! ps-The sweatband was the party favor for the evening and had to be worn.
My roommate and friend, Charles, shows me the proper way to brush and floss my teeth. This is a Friendships With Benefits that everyone can definitely benefit from especially since I just found out I have two cavities:( Thanks Charles for always answering my dental questions and of course for being a great roommate;)
Liz is on of my oldest and dearest friends. She is basically the reason why I have lived in Brooklyn for the last two and a half years. In this FWB, Liz teaches me how she makes her beloved BoardSnacks. She has always been a whiz in the kitchen and knows how to put together such a good spread that I convinced her to start a blog to share her goodness with the world. Check her out at BoardSnacks.com. Thanks Lizzy for showing me your awesome skills and saying yes to being on FWB. I really appreciate it and heart you big time! xo
Today my friend and roommate, Steve, shows me how to make your own soda water with your own soda water making machine. Steve is a Do It Yourself kind of guy and this FWB proves that. Thanks Steve for showing me something that I would NEVER be able to do own my own and showing me that it can be done! Good luck in your new house! You’re going to missed.
Ah, Twitter. I’ve tried to learn how to use this powerful social media tool since 2008 but could never really understand how to use it and the benefits. Well, this has all changed thanks to my handsome and tech savvy friend, Jeremy Phillips aka @JeremyJJP. Check out this FWB to learn why Twitter is really important and how to actually use it. You can check out Jeremy’s life and all the cool things he’s involved in here. Thanks JP for your amazing lesson and for being you;)
My friend and neighbor, Cindy, teaches me some serious knife skills. As you will soon find out, I’m not the most talented with the chef’s knife but Cindy knows what she’s talking about and shows me her ways. I’ve been trying to cook more so I think this lesson will definitely help the cause. Thanks Cin for teaching me and always being there for me! xo
Today, my friend Kevin gives me a guitar lesson in his backyard in Bushwick. Kevin and I work together at Livingsocial Adventures and we always have the best time together. He’s a really talented musician so make sure you don’t miss his musical performance at the end of our sick guitar session. (11m30s) As you can see, I’m not the most talented musician and will definitely need more than one lesson. Thanks for the good times and your patience with my playing KM!
Watch as my friend and former camper, Lauren Brenner, teaches me an amazing hair technique: curling your hair with a flat iron. Lauren is one of NYC’s top beauty and fashion bloggers where she gives great beauty tips and fashion finds. Check out her amazing blog at Everyday To Runway and like her page on Facebook. Thanks Brenner for showing me your ways! I’ve been practicing! xo
