Today my friend, Monica, shows me how to do Newspaper Nails aka magazine nails since we used a magazine instead.  This was super fun because I never seek out these DIY techniques myself but love how it looks and learning how easy it actually is to do.  Monica and I met only a few months ago when she joined LivingSocial Adventures and it’s been great getting to know her, bonding over our shared love of California and learning about her fun, crafty projects.  Monica- you are an awesome teacher and definitely a trendsetter with these nails.  Thanks for teaching me. I’ll def be rocking them in the future!!!

My friend, Erica Bornstein, teaches me how to do a sun salutation in yoga.  Erica and I grew up together in Canton, MA and have been friends since 6th grade.  She is a very talented dancer and amazing yoga teacher.  She teaches all over Boston and if you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and go to a class!   “Like”her on Facebook to see her schedule, get healthy fitness tips and check out her latest playlists.  Thanks Bornsmaggs!  I’m so proud of you for becoming one of Boston’s best yoga teachers. xo

Here is a secret game that not many know about.  It is basically only played in the fields of New Hampshire, PA, and Maine during the warm summer months by young children and awkward teenagers alike in a place known as summer camp.  This game is called GAGA and to my knowledge has nothing to do with Lady Gaga. Watch as my friend and seasoned camp veteran, Layna Germino, teaches you this epic “sport.”  I met Layna a year ago when she joined Livingsocial Adventures.  We both share a deep love for all things summer camp and I was so excited when we realized that she could teach me GAGA at Livingsocial’s SummerCamp for adults this past Labor Day Weekend since sadly, my camp did not have a GAGA pit.  Thanks Layna for helping me constantly relive the goodness of summer camp. xo

Shalom!  Today, my friend, Mai, teaches me common hebrew phrases.  Mai and I met in the winter of 2012 when she joined the Livingsocial Adventure team in NYC.  Mai was born in Israel and moved to the states at the age of 13.  She has such an amazing story and a great zest for life!  Toda Mai for being my favorite Hebrew school teacher!  Shalom!

My friend and former camper, Emily, teaches me how to make an insanely delicious grilled cheese.  Emily and I have known each other for 15 years (I was 14 and she was 10 when she started camp).  I love our relationship and it has been really special to watch someone grow up and then become equals.  She is such a smart and hilarious person and of course, makes a damn good grilled cheese!  Stech, thanks for being the little sister I never had.  xo

Today, my friend, Kevin Foley teaches me CrossFit exercises.  Kevin recently opened his own CrossFit gym called CrossFit HomeBase in our hometown, Canton, MA.  Check it out at crossfithomebase.com and like it on Facebook.

This Friendships With Benefits was really fun and truly reminded me of why I am doing this project.  Although, Kevin and I have rarely seen each other since high school (probably once a year at Thanksgiving), Friendships With Benefits facilitated us to hang out and catch up with what’s going on in our lives.  It was so fun making this video and awesome to see someone you’ve grown up with succeed to own and operate a business and inspire others towards a better life.   Thank you again, Kevin, for offering to participate.  It was really fun and I’m sure CrossFit HomeBase is going to be an amazing success!
