FRIENDSHIPS WITH BENEFITS

Friendships With Benefits was created to share, learn and connect.  I’ve asked all my friends to teach me something.  It can be anything and while you teach me, I’ll be recording with my iPhone.  The point is everyone has something to teach.  Everyone has value and something to give.  You don’t have to be an expert or even do it that well.  You just need to know the steps and be able to communicate it to another human.  Friendships with Benefits allows me to hang out with my friends, learn new skills and share it with the world.  Some lessons have been planned and some are very impromptu.   I’m super excited you’re here.  Stay awhile and learn something new from the special people in my life.

ME

Hey there!! My name is Fallyn Smith and I created Friendships With Benefits in May of 2012 with very little experience in blogging.  Friendships With Benefits was developed through the failure of another project which definitely helps me believe in all those failure leads to success quotes.   I’m 32 years old and I have been lucky enough to have lived all over the country.  I grew up in Canton, MA and spent my summers in Freedom, NH (summer camp 14 years.  Yep, I’m one of those).  I went to college at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland then moved to San Francisco, CA  for 3 years.  In 2008, I moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University for my Masters in Social Work.  After I graduated from SDSU, I moved to Brooklyn, NY.  In April of 2012, I made an impulsive to move back west. I’m now a repeat resident of San Francisco since January 2013.  I’ve made wonderful friendships in all these periods and places in my life.  I have a diverse group of friends who are all wonderful in their own special ways.  Friendships With Benefits is a personal project to help me learn new skills, hang out with my friends as well as have a creative outlet.  My hope and dream is that it will expand into something larger to benefit the world and show that friends can be made anywhere and that every person has something to share.
